  • Get pre-approved for a loan
  • Determine your price range and desired area
  • Begin looking at homes with your agent
  • Make an offer
  • Negotiate the buy through your agent

ONCE YOUR OFFER IS ACCEPTED:

  • You'll be asked to submit an earnest deposit (a percentage of the home's purchase price that indicates you are serious about the purchase)
  • Have the property professionally inspected (if necessary, request repairs)
  • Obtain homeowner's insurance
  • Begin moving arrangements
  • Perform last walk-through to make sure property is in same condition and/or confirm seller made the requested repairs (if any)
  • Contact utilities: gas, water, phone, electricity, etc. 
  • Obtain a cashier's check for down payment & cloing costs
  • Review terms & conditions of loan documents before you sign
